Meet Kerry Lord, UK designer of enchanting crocheted characters which have captivated children and adults alike around the world in her best-selling books Edward’s Menagerie and Edward’s Imaginarium.

Edward’s Menagerie has grown and now includes patterns for monsters, minis, dolls, dinosaurs, aquatic animals and quirky birds. All charming and fun to crochet in the amigurumi style which has taken off around the world.

Kerry’s animal pattern books come with a full character story so if you’ve ever wondered how Lucy the Hare takes her tea, the kind of car James the Meerkat drives, or what Donna the Reindeer does for a living? Then dive into Kerry’s books and explore all your favourite animals from around the world.

She’ll bring a load of her charming characters along too and teach visitors all they need to know about amigurumi, the easy crochet trend which has hooked people around the world. Kerry will have a swag of Australian animals in tow, as well as her delightful doggies and pieces from the NEW menagerie collection. She’ll also teach four exclusive designs, created specially for the Perth fair.

The menagerie began when with just two weeks to go before baby Edward’s due date, Kerry picked up a crochet hook for the first time and a new obsession began. Over the next 12 months the collection of crochet animals expanded week on week until Edward’s Menagerie was complete with 40 unique patterns.

Kerry Lord is coming to Perth from the UK exclusively for the fair.
