In these taster workshops conducted by the Embroiderers’ Guild at the fair. All materials will be supplied – book at their display at the fair.

Creative Embroidery for Beginners: 

Begin your journey into embroidery by learning 3 or 4 easy embroidery stitches that can be endlessly adapted to create interesting patterns and backgrounds.

Use these stitches to embellish a pre-printed piece of fabric, creating your own piece of textile art. You can incorporate your finished piece into a mini quilt or simply frame it and hang it on your wall for your friends to admire.

10am to 12noon daily:  Kit $10 (cash only), nothing else to bring – all equipment will be supplied, suitable for beginners. Book at the Embroiderers Guild of WA Exquisitely Gifted exhibition space, limited numbers only! 

 

Creative Canvas Work Sample:

Canvas work is embroidery worked on a coarse canvas background with thick threads and a large needle. It is a form of counted thread embroidery which can be used to create interesting patterns and textures. It is a great way to create your own unique designs, simply and quickly.

In this mini workshop you will learn three or four canvas stitches. You can combine and arrange them in any way you wish to get you started on this creative journey.
