Wednesday, October 14th

Design Your Own Ceramic Ornaments

10:15AM to 12:15PM

Get creative this festive season and hand-paint two ceramic ornaments using vibrant porcelain paints. Learn simple techniques for colour layering, pattern building and fine detailing, with plenty of creative freedom to make each ornament your own. Perfect for beginners and experienced crafters, you’ll leave with two beautiful handmade decorations ready to gift, display or treasure.

Skill Level: All sessions are beginner-friendly and open to all

Create Your Own Repeat Pattern

1:15PM to 3:45PM

Learn how to create your own seamless repeating pattern tile using traditional analogue techniques, with no computer required! Explore motif development, composition, balance and rhythm while creating a design that can be scanned or photocopied onto fabric for quilting, sewing and other craft projects. 

Skill Level: All sessions are beginner-friendly and open to all

What to bring: Nothing, all in-class materials are included. If you wear glasses for reading or computer work, please bring them along

The Art of the Resin Charcuterie Board

10:15AM to 11:30PM

Presented by Caroline Barber

Create your own custom charcuterie platter using timber and flowing epoxy resin. Learn techniques for creating realistic ocean cells, lacing, and metallic marble effects, and choose from a range of colours and finishes to make your design unique. You’ll leave with a beautiful, food-safe serving platter that’s perfect for entertaining or gifting.

Skill Level: no skills or knowledge required (enclosed-toe shoes are required)

What to bring: All Supplies Included: We provide the premium board, artist-grade resin, and safety gear.

Alcohol Ink Resin Earring Workshop

11:30AM  to 12:30PM

Presented by Caroline Barber

Explore the fun of fluid art in this beginner-friendly workshop! Learn how to blend and layer vibrant alcohol inks to create a unique abstract artwork, then finish your piece with a glossy UV resin topcoat. Experiment with colour and creative techniques, then take home your own one-of-a-kind artwork.

Skill Level: Absolute beginners and intermediate creators are welcome.

What to Wear: Please wear old clothes or bring an apron, along with closed-toe shoes and long hair tied back.

Fee: 2 pairs of earrings-  $110, or 1 pair and 1 pendant – $110

Mixed Media Art Workshop

1:15PM to 2:30PM

Presented by Caroline Barber

In this project-based art class, participants design and create a custom tote bag or pencil case using a chosen main image as the focal point.  They will learn how to enhance their design with textures, stencils, layering techniques and mixed media elements, developing both artistic confidence and practical crafting skills.

What to Wear: Recommended you wear closed-in shoes and tie your long hair back.  No flowing sleeves.

Resin Seascape Scene Inspired Workshop

2:30PM  to 3:45PM

Presented by Caroline Barber

Create your own dreamy oceanscape suncatcher in an 8 x 10-inch coastal-style frame. Choose from a beautiful range of glass pieces and embellishments to create your own unique seascape, with the option to bring along personal treasures to incorporate into your design. You’ll leave with a stunning handmade suncatcher ready to hang at home.

Friday, October 16th

Hand-building Pottery Workshop

10:15AM to 11:45AM

Presented by Mud 2 Mug

Get hands-on with clay in this fun, beginner-friendly experience! Learn three simple hand-building techniques: pinch pots, coils and slabs, then let your creativity run wild as you create something functional or decorative. With all materials, tools and expert guidance provided, you’ll create a unique piece that will be fired and glazed for you to collect after the event. Finished pieces will be ready for collection from Mud 2 Mug Studio in Morningside within 4–6 weeks.

Pottery Painting Class

12:00PM – 1:45PM & 2:00PM  to 3:45PM

Presented by Mud 2 Mug

Unleash your inner artist in this fun and relaxing pottery painting experience! Choose your own ceramic piece from a range of mugs, bowls, plates, vases, trinket dishes and more, then learn painting techniques to bring your design to life. With paints, brushes, stamps, stencils and expert guidance provided, there’s plenty of inspiration for everyone.

Please note: The workshop fee does not include your pottery piece. Pieces range from $35–$65 and are selected and paid for on the day. Your finished piece will be glazed and fired, ready for collection from Mud 2 Mug Studio in Morningside within 4–6 weeks.
